Otheriver Audit Logs Terms of Service

Effective date: 18 August 2026

These Terms govern use of Otheriver Audit Logs, provided by Alex Marcone, trading as Otheriver / Otheriver Apps, VAT number IT 02172620672, Via Primo Riccitelli 3, Teramo, Italy. By installing or using the App, the merchant agrees to these Terms.

1. Service

The App provides an embedded workspace to query available Shopify activity, capture configured operational webhooks after installation, record summaries of API calls made by this App, filter those sources and export records in CSV or JSON.

The App does not promise a complete record of every store change or every API call made by other apps. Available history, attribution and fields depend on Shopify APIs, webhooks, permissions, resource state and platform limits. The App does not provide one-click restore, backups, field-level before/after diffs, legal certification or guaranteed detection of every incident.

2. Subscription and billing

The public Standard plan costs USD 5.99 per month, billed through Shopify. There is no free trial. Shopify processes charges, cancellation and billing adjustments under the merchant’s Shopify agreement. No paid functionality should be used until Shopify confirms an active subscription. Prices shown in Shopify at the time of approval control if they differ because of taxes, currency presentation or an authorised plan update.

3. Merchant responsibilities

The merchant must:

  • have authority to install the App and grant the requested Shopify permissions;
  • use audit records only for lawful, authorised business purposes;
  • provide required privacy notices to customers, staff and contributors;
  • limit exported files to authorised recipients and store them securely;
  • avoid submitting secrets, illegal content or unnecessary personal information to support;
  • maintain its Shopify account and comply with Shopify’s terms.

4. Availability and changes

We aim to operate the App with reasonable care but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Shopify API changes, rate limits, outages, merchant configuration, hosting incidents or force majeure can affect the service. We may make proportionate changes needed for security, compliance, compatibility or service quality and will provide notice where legally required.

5. Data and privacy

Data handling is described in the dedicated Otheriver Audit Logs Privacy Policy. Uninstalling stops future collection; active sessions are removed on uninstall and remaining shop data is deleted through the Shopify redaction flow and stated retention schedule. Files exported by the merchant are outside the App’s control after download.

6. Intellectual property

Otheriver retains rights in the App, brand, design and documentation. The merchant receives a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App for its Shopify business while its installation and subscription remain valid. The merchant retains rights in its store data.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to address security threats, unlawful use, non-payment, platform requirements or material breach. The merchant can cancel or uninstall through Shopify. Sections that by nature should survive termination—including payment, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, privacy and governing law—continue to apply.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The App is an operational aid, not legal, accounting, cybersecurity or compliance advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. Otheriver is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss caused by Shopify/platform limitations, unauthorised exports or merchant configuration. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Italian law, without limiting mandatory protections that apply to a merchant. Disputes will be handled by the courts competent under applicable Italian law unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
